"Being Ordinary"
Abram wanted a baby because God promised him one; God would deliver, but first Abram and Sarai had to endure the difficulties of waiting for a promise to come true. In this text, Abram is exhausted from waiting and wants a sign and God shows him the stars, something ordinary he can see every night as a reminder of God's faithfulness. We are called to be ordinary because that's where God's miracles — like a baby for a 99 year old couple — happen!
