August 6, 2017 — Ninth Sunday after Pentecost

"Starting Point"
God loves you. That's the basic premise of Paul's words today. We've heard this before, yet we need to hear it again. Because some times we fail to remember it or we believe we are worthy of God's love or we believe that we haven't done enough to deserve it. And Paul's words echo the reality of Jesus' life, death and resurrection--that God loves all of us and there is nothing that can separate us from God's love. Hearing it again and again focuses us on how we are to operate as Christians and as a church. God loves you--listen to this homily to hear it again!
