Fellowship

Howard Memorial is a church family where members are connected  through worship, service and fellowship. We enjoy the times of fellowship and fun through a variety of activities for every age group.

first wednesday potluck

From September through May, the church family gathers for a meal at 6:00p with a program following at 6:30 - 7:15p. The exceptions are December, when there is a catered dinner and during the season of Lent. During the 6-weeks of Lent, the church gathers each week for a meal at 6:00p followed by a Lenten Study at 6:30p.

all adult socials

Twice a year, adults of the church are invited to meet at various members’ homes for food and fellowship.

annual congregational picnic

An all church picnic is held each year in October. For the last several years it has been at The Lance Cherry’s “River Farm” on Hwy 33.

Lemonade on the Lawn

From June - August, lemonade and cookies are served after worship, on the lawn outside the playground.

Easter Sunrise Breakfast

The Men of the Church prepare breakfast for the congregation, served in Burns Hall after the Easter Sunrise Service in The Memorial Garden.

There is an Easter tradition at HMPC that goes back for decades: the ‘Men of the Church’ prepare and serve breakfast in Burns Hall to the early-rising, bleary-eyed attendees following our sunrise service... There is a great comfort in tradition — in the rhythm of the seasons and celebrations. I look forward every year to having a part in preparing this meal for our church and guests, and to the fellowship with Men of the Church.
